The format being followed is…

Welcome to Slimmer Street where a group of friends and neighbours have come together to lose weight.

Watch them embark on their weight loss journey… And see exactly what they eat along the way to achieve their weight loss*.

Buddying up can really help you on your journey making you more likely to stick with it if you’re finding it tough.

They have been using a mixture of Celebrity Slim meal replacements (porridge, shakes, smoothies, soup and bars) as well as snack bars (Sticky Toffee, Rocky Road and Fruberry).  Find out their thoughts and experiences along the way.

Morven


Meet Morven,  Training & Development Manager in Manchester city centre,  who lives with her husband, and children.

Morven is soon to be celebrating her 27th Year of marriage and wants to look fabulous for the occasion (we think she already does!).  She says that “I don’t want to be an overweight mum after having my children late, I want to remain trim trendy and of course healthy!”

Morven likes walking in the mountains and countryside with family and cycling in nice weather.  Her goals are to lose as much as she can in the 4 week challenge and ultimately more than a stone.

Starting dress size: 14

Total weight loss so far…

  • 3kg (6.6lb)

  • 1.9kg loss (4.2 lb)

  • 1.1kg loss (2.4 lb)

Elle

Meet Elle 43,  an Advisor  who lives with her partner and 2 children.  Elle wants to lose weight to feel healthier. The type of plan that Elle needs is simple, filling and full of a variety of products and flavours to ensure she doesn’t get bored, which can lead to lapses.

In her down time  Elle likes to socialise with friends and family.

Elle’s goals are to lose 2 stone  (12.7kg).

Starting dress size: 16/18

Louise

Meet Louise 39,  self employed Training Consultant who lives with her husband, 2 children and dog.  Louise wants to lose weight so she can fit into her clothes!

In her down time Louise likes to go walking with her family.

Louise’s goals are to lose at least 5lbs (2.2kg) in the 4 week challenge and ultimately 1stone  (6.3kg).

Starting dress size: 14

Alison

Meet Alison a busy mum who juggles her own marketing business  while taking care of her son and 2 rabbits with her husband Simon. Losing weight is tricky when you’re on the go all the time so Alison needs a flexible and simple programme to follow.

Alison would like to lose weight as to put in her words she wants to be “a happier healthier me”.  Her goals are to to lose 10lbs (4.5 kg) in 4 weeks, but would like to go on to lose 2 stone (12.7kg) in total.

Starting dress size: 16/18

Catherine

Meet Catherine 30,  Charities & Social Business Team Solicitor. Catherine would like to lose weight to fit back in to her favourite dresses and to feel generally better / healthier.

Catherine’s style of eating is grazing so not being far from your next meal or snack works well for her.

In her leisure time Catherine likes singing, volunteering, playing the flute, charity work and dog walking with her partner.

Catherine’s goals are to lose 10lbs (4.5kg) in the 4 week challenge and ultimately 1stone 4lbs (8kg)

Jen

Meet Jen an Accountant who live with her husband and two sons.  Jen has gained a bit of weight over the past few years, she’s just turned 50 and would love to drop a dress size.  It’s important to Jen to enjoy family meals together so sitting with her family at the end of the day and enjoying a dish that whole family will enjoy is ideal.

In her spare time Jen likes going to the gym and yoga classes.

Jens’s goals are to lose 9lbs (4kg) in the 4 week challenge and ultimately 1stone 4lbs (8kg).

Lorraine

Meet Lorraine a Marketer who lives with her husband, son and dog.  Lorraine has gained weight after enjoying her 40th birthday celebrations a bit too much and would like to get back on track!

It’s important to Lorraine not have to prepare lots of dishes throughout the day while she’s dieting as well as for her family.  Lorraine enjoys sitting with her family at the end of the day and enjoying a meal with them.

In her spare time lorraine likes to spend time with her family and play tennis.

Lorraine’s goals are to lose 8lbs (3.6kg) in the 4 week challenge and ultimately 1stone (6.4kg).
